Can you introduce yourselves?

Juliet: Hello, I’m Juliet, I’m 34, born, raised and currently living in the great state of Texas. I’m also the older sister of Kat, one of the incredible co-founders.  I am a very grateful mama of two amazing kiddos, Charlie who’s 4 and Kitty who just turned 2, with another sweet blessing coming in February.

Chase: I’m her husband Chase, 39 years old, also a Texan, born and raised, and the proud father of the aforementioned kiddos.

Do you mind telling us a bit about your fertility journey?

Juliet: Our fertility journey has been a bit of a roller coaster, some parts felt really challenging and others felt like they just caught us by surprise. We started trying for our first baby a little over a year after we got married. After about a year of tracking and trying with no luck we decided to seek some professional help to see if there were unknown issues preventing our success. I started seeing a NaPro obgyn also referred to as a restorative reproductive medicine doctor, who specializes in identifying and treating the underlying causes of reproductive issues and was eventually diagnosed with both Endometriosis and PCOS. We spent several months closely tracking my cycle, weekly bloodwork, and follicle scans daily for 10 days every cycle to see if and when I was ovulating and how mature the eggs were at the time of ovulation. After about 6 months with no luck conceiving we scheduled a laparoscopy to address potential blockages from the endometriosis and somehow, miraculously, I got my positive test, just two weeks before the surgery.

What lifestyle changes did you make that you feel *actually* made a difference?

Juliet: We made some pretty serious diet and lifestyle changes throughout that time and continued to explore more ways to be conscious of our fertility. Despite my PCOS making my cycles a mess we were able to get pregnant with our daughter two years later, and now two years after her birth are grateful to have been blessed with another healthy pregnancy.

Chase: I have actually always been a pretty health conscious person. I made a decision pretty young to prioritize eating healthy and working out and have stayed consistent with that lifestyle throughout my adult life. Despite us both living a healthy lifestyle, the first attempt at pregnancy made us really deep dive into what else could be causing inflammation or hormonal disruption. Once we realized it wasn’t just the food, that there were toxins hidden in cleaning products, detergents, beauty products and even our water we made a goal of swapping out one item a week for a non-toxic version.

Juliet: We also switched to an animal based diet to try and help get my PCOS symptoms and inflammation under control and after a few months on that and many months making other the swaps Chase mentioned, we got pregnant with Kitty by complete accident, without even tracking or trying. We have since expanded our diet back out a bit, and added some excellent supplements to our daily routine, OVA Her and OVA Plus included, and were surprised again by an unexpected pregnancy.
